    hi. can somene advise me what ftp cllient i should use on my mac osx. i cant seem to find any advice for macs. i am new to all this so all hints and tips welcome. claire

    Hi Claire :)

    I recommend Fetch for power and simplicity - you can find it over here. I installed this on the design and print macs at work and the users love it :)

    You could also try Cyberduck or Transmit, both are good. Cyberduck is free! :)

    I use the Fireftp extension for Firefox. It is a brilliant FTP client and free. I do have Transmit but still use FireFTP for preference.

    I personaly use Transmit. Good small app thats easy to use. rename feature would be nice on it lol

    I use Cyberduck.  Free and works well.

    Here's a (secure) link, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/684, to the FireFTP from the Mozilla Extensions gallery.

    Hope that's what you're after.

    FWIW, I use Cyberduck myself. If you're interested, it's available at http://cyberduck.ch.

    I use Transmit.  I'm not a fan of Fetch - but have to admit to not having tried the others mentioned here.  I probably will now. ;)

    Used to be a Transmit user, though most of my FTPing is done through Coda so you could effectively say I'm back to being a Transmit user.

     Coda is awesome by the way, I met the guy who designed that logo at WWDC 07 - lovely guy.
