    Zen Usage Checker Dashboard Widget

Has anyone got this to work successfully?  The reason I ask is I can't get anything other than "error" displayed.

The widget is available from this page.

I get "ERROR" too. "Communications Error" when I Test.

All the fields are filled correctly, forum username and password and my Zen credentials.

    ?

Double-check your portal user name and password. (It may be different from your login  user name).

Re: Zen Usage Checker Dashboard Widget

I'm completely unable to get this widget (or the Firefox extension) to work. Each time I receive an authentication error, even though the information is precisely the same as that for the zen portal (I even tried copy/pasting it from my Keychain entry to make sure). Are people using their @zen username to access the portal, as that is the only thing I can think of that might be the source of my problems as I am not - I'm using a personal e-mail address instead. It is either that or the widget/extension doesn't like non-alphanumerics in the password?

    Anyone got any further suggestions?

    TIA

Re: Zen Usage Checker Dashboard Widget

You ought to be using the same email address as that listing in your Portal Profile.

Re: Zen Usage Checker Dashboard Widget

I am, and it doesn't work.

Edit: Do I need to open a port in my router's firewall, or should this be unnecessary?

Re: Zen Usage Checker Dashboard Widget

    I'm using a Speedtouch v585 and didn't open a port.

With regard to my own experience above, do bear in mind that it's possible to have 3 different Zen passwords: account, forum and portal. I managed to mix two of them up. Embarrassed

Re: Zen Usage Checker Dashboard Widget

Appreciate it, but I have tried them all and various combinations of them too (apart from the forum one - I only created it a few days ago and I have been having the problem with the checker for weeks).
