Connecting to the internet using Belkin Wireless G gaming Adaptor

I want to connect to the internet wirelessly using a BT home hub and the Belkin adaptor.

The Belkin helpline is not very helpful.

Can anyone out there tell me in simple terms - I am an idiot as far as computers are concerned - how to get the system set up.

I have an iMac with Mac OS 10.3.9    I do not have an Airport card and am assured that I can connect wirelessly with the Belkin adapor. I just need clear instructions.

    Thank you.

Since no one else has replied to this, I'll have a go although I've never set up an external wireless adaptor on a Mac.

First and foremost, I assume the Belkin is a USB adaptor. (It would be of some help if you'd stated the product number of the Belkin adaptor you have. Also, you haven't said if the adaptor is being recognised by Mac OS.)

I'll bite, I used to have this on an old iBook G4 before airport cards came installed by default.

If you goto here and then goto the drivers page, you should be able to download the drivers, obviously if the wireless isn't on do it using a wired connection or on another computer then put it onto a usb stick.

From memory this is an installer that requires you to reboot, once you've done that you goto System Preferences (Apple in the top left -> System Prefs) and it should be at the bottom under Belkin.
