Zen Internet Support Forum

Hi all,

 

I've been having a problem for a number of days where I can't get a connection to news.zen.co.uk.

 

I keep getting an error saying "Host not found". Is anyone else suffering the same or have any suggestions how I sort this out if it's not Zen's news server playing up?

PS, I am able to connect to a number of other news servers without any issues including Mozilla's news server, Borland's and the news server for the news client I'm using, Xananews.

I've been using Zen's usenet server on a daily basis and aint encountered this error.
Can you tracert/ping news.zen.co.uk ? i was thinking it sounds like a possible dns issue.

Afraid i can't think of much else that would cause that as it works fine for me and if it was doing that to everyone or alot of people i expect there would be alot more people complaining on here or adslguide.
All i can say is double check all your usenet clients settings maybe delete the Zen server entry and craete a new one.
Just incase this somehow helps i've been using grabit for binary downloads and xnews for text posts  and everything is fine.
