Although I run a Speedtouch ADSL router I wanted to use a seperate wireless AP downstairs just for the Laptop to keep the radiation distance down to a minimum. I bought a netgear Wireless AP and it works a treat with my Vista laptop.

I have now, today,  installed a Netgear  network print server to link any of my four computers to the same laser printer. I just ran the wizard that came on the CD on all the machines and all works well on both Vista and XP.

Getting to quite like netgear stuff :)

Glad to hear you had a breezy time setting up your Netgear kit.

**But I had nothing but horrors & nightmares trying to get a Netgear router set up, I wasted an entire day in the process. Even the Netgear technical support people were a total waste of time too. I sent the bloody thing back to Ebuyer and got a full refund.

**I cannot be doing with WiFi its doesn't seem to like me and I don't like it either. Wireless is fine in theory but frankly I still think its rubbish. I have yet to see a rock solid durable wireless internet connection in contrast to a wired internet connection using a wired or cabled router.

**I have a good friend who lives in a shared house in Barnsley, they have a D-Link wireless router modem and that too has been nothing but a huge pain in the backside since it was bought. They are always loosing the connectivity. In fact I've rarely if ever seen it working smoothly without problems or issues of some sort.
