This does seem tio be a Zen issue the past two months or so, as I get headers from Easynews in the main, and when I tried getting header sfrom both, I still get that response to every file in certain posts - they are all fine on Easynews, no need for pars, recent examples the past day or so are,

in group alt.binaries.tv

I use newsbin so I do not know how to get the articel numbers, but EVERY post of x264 45MB files, roughly 20+ of, for each of these posts the past 1-2 months gives 'failed to retrieve article from Zen. The first part or each file may be there, as the par2, nfo, etc come down fine, but every other part is never on Zen.

Zen news service is either missing EVERY articel of this ilk, in terms that you cannot grab it from Zens news serveice, or Zen miss-interprets header info that other proper news providers handle correctly. It never used to be like this, something major is very wrong.

 

 
I've noticed this in recent weeks

No problems with small stuff, but no luck when it comes to the larger (720p) files

 
 

 

 

 

Lets hope support actually pick up on this - because it's been broken for a long time. Probably won't get any support feedback over the weekend, but it would be nice for support to investigate Monday onwards. If they host a service it should work.

Hmmm - no help from support yet - tick, tick - amazing what you get paying more than anywhere else.

 The same files all download without problems using my fillserver.

I spoke to someone in support via the live chat and sent them a sample nzb with both working and non working (x264 efnet style) posts - they are going to take a look.

Despite support having an nzb containing working and non working files, and emailing support (following on from an email) saying the problem was still there - the job was closed! They say they have now re-opened it. I hope so, because it's an easy to demonstrate the problem.

Tonight I'm seeing the 1st x264 post that Zens new service is not reporting artical not on server. Lets hope it keeps up! Early days yet.

Yes the file I downloaded today was fine, didn't even need repairing.

The news service has been broke almost continually for a month or more - some of it works, a lot of it doesn't and Zen are not fixing it. It's almost as if they are considering stopping it entirely.

Until they do that they should fix it as it's one of the services they provide.

I'm having right now the same issue with missing articles.

Any of the nzb I tried from http://www.tvnzb.com/ fails to download. 

Quick solution to the problem - sign up to Giganews

Not ideal as it pushes my total internet costs to a level that doesn't compare well with what's available from other providers
