    Adding a Pre-Populated SQL2005 Database using Helm

    Hi All

I have an SQL2005 database that already has data in it that i want to upload to my web hosting. How would I go about doing this? Do I still have to use Helm's Database Manager as I was under the impression that this created a blank database and dont really want to add the data all over again.

If I upload the db via ftp to the db folder, can i just point the connection string to this at it will all work?

Thanks in advance for any advice

    Drew

I think the way you'd do this is to create a blank database (as per http://www.zensupport.co.uk/knowledgebase/article.aspx?id=10749) - name it the same as your existing database

You might be able to use SQL server management studio to restore your original database over the top of the newly created one.

    Kindest regards,
