Well done Zen for increasing your download limits making your excellent service value for money too

YES! I'd like to echo that statement, an extra amount on download capacity is VERY welcome even though I doubt I will need it. But it does show Zen is looking to remain competitive by making its services more attractive than before.

I take it that you are not on 800Lite then. ;-)))    Personally I could use just about any amount of bandwidth I was given (there is just sooooo much you can do with the datagird) the only thing that stops me is cost...

The increase from 2 to 5GB for me on 8000Lite is, well, a very welcome improvement indeed.

I too welcome the extra download since I had to make use of the additional download facility.  However, I can't help wondering why it has only just been done since prices in general are not going down.  I can only assume that it is one of those business practices where the amount you get is not related to the price you pay.

The extra bandwidth as left me in a bit of a quandary as I am one the 8000 active now 25Gb. I average about 6Gb of bandwidth a month so not certain that it would now be better to go onto the light and pay for the extra bandwidth I use over 5Gb or to stay put.

I am a little afraid  that if I changed to the light package my usage would suddenly increase due to things like the BBC iPlayer etc coming online in the near future.

I hate changing things all the time.

I have also considered  telling BT what they can do with thier lines and going to just mobile BB and phone as I am not happy with the way they have treated a couple of friends who had faulty lines. Just wish we could get cable around here although I would really hate to dump Zen's excellent packages and service.

BT, IME, is /very/ agressive to people who report faults on lines.   Perhaps it's like visiting one's GP in that there are a load of time-wasters that need to be put off?   Anyway, it's not pleasant dealing with BT's teleophe 'support' staff. I know.

Their actual engineers, however, are second to none, IMO anyway.

Asking BT to investigate a fault is like phoning the doctor's surgery and getting the triage nurse whose job it is to get rid of you by suggesting silly alternatives like, 'Is it plugged in.'  One has to prepare a case in advance so one is ready for all the red herrings.  A good way of tracking whether you are getting action is to follow it up on their faults web site. Like the importune widow of Luke 18:5, one has to weary them.  (Yet because this widow troubleth me I will avenge her lest by her continual coming she weary me).  lol
