    Connectivity - Hit Or Miss

    Hey guys,

    Last night i had a total blackout of internet connectivity (12:10 AM - 4:20 AM... working late sucks), the modem was showing it connecting fine but it just couldnt establish a connection (possible rejection by the servers?) It took 4 hours until I was able to reconnect back to the internet (almost painful). Any ideas what caused it? i checked to see if there were any local outtages but none were listed, and now i can connect fine (though sometimes strangely it takes a couple of attempts, the modem (Belkin) shows "NO Connection" for the times it fails to connect and a couple of modem reboots i manage to get a "Connected" message... the router has been funny in the past but nothing like this and as its showing it connecting it must still be working... i wondered if its possible zen were doing some maintaienence or if theres an ongoing issue with my region which is causing the hit and miss connectivity issue?

     ATM im connected and im hoping it will stay that way (ive hardwired my router to be left running 24/7 so hopefully i'll stay connected while the issue resolves itself, lol)

    Zen were undertaking system maintenance recently and I wonder if that was the cause of your difficulties?

    Aha, that must have been it, ive never had any issues before, i didnt realise they were doing some maintainence, so i guess i was just one of the unlucky few who got caught in the crossfire :)

    Im still connected now so i can assume that everything is back to normal, thx for replying, lol
