    Cpanel 06 Clock

    Can someone check the machine time on Cpanel 6 please, I believe it is one hour behind

    The time on all our servers should be set to GMT, hence the one hour discrepancy, since we're currently in BST/GMT+1. We work this way so that we have consistent log file entries all year round. I will however check tomorrow that this is consistent across the cPanel platform.

    Many thanks, the time has only changed in the last few days. I also have a Cpanel account on Cpanel 02 which is showing the correct time.

    The 'latest visitors' log on both Cpanels are different.

    I've had chance to look now, and you are indeed right that the time is wrong on cp06 - NTP had stopped working for some reason.

    Interestingly the cPanel platforms seem to be running in BST as well. I suspect that, since these are customer facing servers, we chose to use localtime (ie GMT/BST as appropriate) to prevent any unnecessary confusion for our customers.
