Is there a reason why webmail should fail to recognise my login name/password from a Nokia E71? It keeps coming up as login not recognised. I've checked and re-checked that the details I'm entering are correct. Could it have something to do with the way that numbers are entered from this phone? Any assistance gratefully received

I don't think it's the way numbers are entered on your phone. I use a E63 and have three mail accounts configured without problems. The issue might be that when you're entering your passwords, the initial letter behind the asterisk is a capital rather than lower case letter. Worth an experiment, perhaps.
