VPN connection to home network problems

I have a small home network setup with one PC hard wired to my Vigor 2600VGi router and a number of wireless connections. When connected wirelessly I can view and access files on the other computers on the network.   I recently setup a VPN connection using the Vigor Smart Client to my router.  I can connect to the router using the VPN over a 3G connection and can access the router config pages. With the VPN router set as the default Gateway the laptop is routed to the internet via the router IP - I checked using whatismyip.com.  However, when connected via the VPN I cannot see any of the computers on the home network.  What is the likely problem/solution?  The router is set to give a pool of 50 ips starting from 192.168.1.10 - the VPN issues ips from 192.168.1.200
