  • Re: Zen filtering email?

I had the same problem a few months back with my forwarding spam messages and all bouncing back nearly all with the same 550 message. Got in touch with Zen support who did reply but kept saying it wasnt their servers,,,,,,well there was nothing else it could be. I even turned off my Kaspersky spam control to show it wasnt my pc or software. In the ...

  • Exchange Server 2007; MX Records & Mail Hosting

Hello, We currently collect all our domain email from Zen using a POP3 connector. I would like to implement our own Exchange 2007 SMTP Server by adding the appropriate ''A'' and ''MX'' records within the customer portal. Presumably, I can leave the ''mailcluster.zen.co.uk.'' record in place as a ''fallback'', but what would happen to any ...

  • Thunderbird mailing lists

I have set up a test mailing list in Thunderbird (2.0.0.22) using about five email addresses. These are all addresses I have access to. Two are googlemail addresses and the others are in domains that I have. Results are patchy.  The googlemail ones work fine, and one of the other addresses work fine (my 'normal' address). But all the others ...

  • Fetchmail and Certificates

I'm using fetchmail to pull all my pop3 from various sources including my new cpanel hosted mailbox. For the first time, it is giving warnings, that is for this mailbox. The warnings are as follows: ''Server certificate verification error: unable to get local issuer certificate'' ''Server certificate verification error: certificate not ...

  • IMP and general government snooping

RE this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7819230.stm and this: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/01/09/imp_eudrd/ I'm curious to hear peoples views on this - and I'm also interested to hear if Zen have a stance on the matter. My understanding is that the legislation is part of continuing efforts by the goverment to develop a tracking nexus for ...

  • Very disappointing support

I have been a Zen ISP customer for over 2 years and apart from a slow line have been pretty satisfied. I needed a new domain and a site to be administered in the UK so I ordered the domain registration and a hosting package through Zen. It was an EU domain and took over two days to register which seems long but the time taken is not my beef.. I ...

  • me@zen.co.uk

I understand from the knowledge base that I cannot have an email address in the form me@zen.co.uk and that I have to have a sub-domain making an unwiledy email address  me@subdomain.myzen.co.uk.  I also undestand that I cannot change the oribinal email address when I joined up with Zen back in 2004. However, today I received an email ...

  • Parked domains, MX and PTR

Hi I have a Linux cPanel package, and two registered domains (DNS records hosted by other 3rd party registrars, not Zen). I wish to set up POP3 mailboxes for both domains and have mail handled by cPanel. I have already done this for one domain, and it's been working just fine for the past 6 months, having created a mail.mydomain1.com A record ...

  • Recent restrictions on IMAP mail connections - anyone else suffering ?

Appears that around mid-September restrictions have been put in place preventing more than 4 concurrent IMAP mail connections from a single IP address. Since most IMAP mail clients are multithreaded this effectively allows for one mail client per IP address. Even if your mail client allows the number of connection to be limited, at most you can ...
