Poor Max 8000 speeds compared to neighbour - what are my options?

Poor Max 8000 speeds compared to neighbour - what are my options?

    Hello

I have been on the Max 8000 service for around 7 months, but the actual speed achieved always hovers between 1Mb and 1.5Mb, which, as I live in a brand new-build apartment block, I put down to the distance to the exchange.  However I recently discovered that our next-door neighbours (literally) in the very same block of flats consistently get speeds of around 4.5 - 6Mb and that we are actually using a much closer exchange than I thought.

I have tried 3 different routers, changed all the microfilters, and tried each of the three phone sockets in the flat.  If my neighbour in the same new block can achieve high speeds, and I have checked the above, then is the only other reason for the low speeds that the wiring of the internal lines to my flat may be faulty?

If so, what are my options in terms of getting BT to check/fix this?  Or even better, am I missing something obvious at my end that may cause the problem?

    Thanks

    Matt
