Help configuring zens 8 static ips?

Hey guys, i want to make use of the 8 static IPs zen have assigned me.  Currently I am using a Linksys  WAG354G broadband router.  i have my main desktop plugged into the switch via cat5 cable and my laptop using the wifi.  i want the main desktop machine which runs linux to use one of the static ips.  how would i configure the broadband router to handle this? i would like every other machine to grab its ip via dhcp apart from the linux box which i want using one of the 8 static ips, is this possible, if so anyone have any ideas how to configure the linksys router to handle this? i have done some googling and cannot find any answers?

if know one knows how to do it with the linksys router, i am going to be building a linux router/firewall and any help in setting them up in that would greatly be appriciated?

    kind regards,

    dusty.
