I bought a tape digi camcorder about two years ago at twice that price. At £170 I can't see how you can go wrong.

    Good spec.

Hi, I'm buying a camcorder for my daughters xmas present and the same two models caught my eye. I was just going for a DVD type for convenience. She's 13 and it will be much easier for her to just shoot and then play the DVD's without having to hook up leads or download the footage.

Anyway I just wanted to ask are you still happy with the DZ-GX5040EUK? They are available at Comet for £170.
