    No Email

When the Service Alerts page says there's a problem with the cPanel servers, as it does just now, would that account for no email reaching us from the outside world since last night?

If that's the case, why can't Zen be upfront about it and say that emai has been affected?

    Re: No Email

If you have a cPanel service and you use that for your e-mail then it would be affected by an outage of the server your e-mail is on.

The cPanel outage would not affect e-mail for any other type of account.

    regards,
    Phil.

    Re: No Email

My cPanel email seems to be going off-line all the time. There's obviously a reliability issue with Zen's cPanel servers and I can't afford to loose my email for most of a working day.

I am seriously thinking about taking my hosting elsewhere that can actually provide a decent amount of uptime.

    Re: No Email

I moved to Zen because of problems like this with PlusNet. They actually lost several days email, which thankfully Zen haven't.

    Re: No Email

Wow I doubt I could deal with that. I have a number of 1&1 accounts which seem very reliable and I can easily change settings and control the domain. But their customer service is lacking, which is why I moved my main email domain to Zen, but their cPanel service is not as reliable as 1&1's and I'm just getting a little annoyed with all the downtime. I haven't even been able to check my email yet today which I rely on for business!

    Re: No Email

I'll rephrase that, I've had no email whatsoever today! I work from home so if it does come back up this evening I guess I'll be in my studio late getting through that delayed email. A little inconvenient for clients too who are sending me files etc and wait on replies or action from me.

    Re: No Email

Is it just me, or is anyone else not receiving email from the outside world today?

    Re: No Email

I just sent two messages from an external account and they arrived immediately.

Once again I'm also without email, which my business relies upon. I switched to Zen after reading great reviews, but am now losing work over their constant outage and if things don't improve pdq, I shall be moving elsewhere. Not happy.

    Exactly the same sentiments here.

Web site down, no emails and no clue as to when it's back on-line. Even BT have to be better than this.

Originally I didn't mind paying a few pounds extra for Zen as the service was highly stable. Don't know what's gone wrong of late, but know that it's costing me a lot of time and effort catching up with email which I'm not receiving.

    Hi,

We're not aware of any issues with the mail platform (mailhost.zen.co.uk) having occured over the weekend - and haven't received any further reports.  If you're still having problems please contact Technical Support so we can investigate the cause.  Please be sure to take note of error messages received so we can determine the likely cause of problems.

    kind regards,
    Phil D.Long
