    Joomla Permissions

    Hi

I've just set up a new Joomla site and need to modify it. I have tried setting the permissions to 777 using WS_FTP but it ignores the request. I have another Joomla based site which works fine! I would have suspected a problem with the username and password but I can read everything and use cpanel etc.

    Re: Joomla Permissions

Solved by telephone support - as I'd uploaded the files manually rather than using a script the permissions were not attached to my login. Bizarre Huh? Sorted now though, thanks to the excellent backup team.

    Re: Joomla Permissions

Have you any problems with uploading templates or extensions? I get an error on my Joomla 1.5 Fantastico install when I try to do so: JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths.

I am endeavouring to resolve this with Support (by email).
