    Binary vs text newsgroups

Forgive the question if it is naive but how do I tell the difference between a binary newsgroup and a text one?  When Zen drops the binary service will the group names and the text content of messages still appear and just any attachment files be omitted or will the groups themselves disappear?

I am struggling to understand exactly what this change will mean to me on the limited number of newsgroups I monitor on a regular basis.

    Re: Binary vs text newsgroups

Text-based discussion groups will remain (for example, zen.support).  It will just be binary groups that will be dropped completely (those that are dedicated, or allow the posting of, files).

    regards,
    Phil.
