    Quick Question

    Hey guys,

I am using the Windows .NET broadband usage checker and I have noticed something strange, previously under "Broadband Connection Type" it stated I was on "IPStream ADSLMax" however recently when checking it I noticed that it has changed to "IPStream ADSL Home". Is there any difference between the two and if so, is there any reason why I might have been categorised under the different status?

PS: I am on Zen 8000 Pro (50gb).

    Alex.

    Re: Quick Question

I would take a guess and say that you are still on MAX, but they have just changed the name to home so they can differentiate between office users or whatever, as mine is IPStream ADSLMax Premium, thats what the .net usage checker says for me, but I am on the office 8000 max product and, since the product your on is classed by Zen and probably also BT as home broadband then they or BT where the info comes from have just given you the name Home instead.

That would be my guess because IPStream MAX is the actual service that we are using, so you are still using it and still connected via ipstream max, just that zen/bt have given you the home moniker to distinguish you from either different broadband packages or from office users.

This is taken from some website:

    What is ADSL Max?

ADSL Max is a rate adaptive up to 8Mbps service

So your still physically connected and using the max service.

It should probably read, IPStream ADSL Max Home, thats what it probably should read, but then again I dont know what goes on at BT or at Zen so I could be wrong.
